MRTG是MultiRouter Traffic Grapher(多路由器流量图形)的简写，它是一种典型的基于SNMP协议的监视网络链路流量和主机资源的开放源代码的管理工具，它通过SNMP协议得到设备的流量信息，并直观地以包含PNG格式图形的HTML文档的方式显示流量信息。
MRTG主要有四个功能模块：SNMP模块、日志文件、RateUp模块、配置模块。
