虽然WiFi网络越来越流行，但是网络的安装和配置还是比较的复杂，而且就算成功安装了网络，大多数人也不会去使用WiFi的安全特性，因此很不安全、很容易遭受攻击。为了解决这个问题，很多的厂家都开发了自己的一套网络初始配置的解决方案，这样又带来了另一个问题：各个厂家之间的无秩序和不同产品的兼容性。

针对这种状况，WIFI联盟跳出来制定了“Wi-Fi Simple Config”的方案，来作为一个统一的标准。“Wi-Fi Simple Config”的最主要目标是让安全的配置和管理WiFi网络变得很简单，能够向用户保证他们的无线网络能够拒绝非授权的访问，不会泄漏他们的私人信息。他们的目标便是：又简单、又安全！-WiFi networks are becoming more and more popular, but the installation and configuration of the network is quite complex, and even if successful installation of the network, most people are not going to use the security features of WiFi, so very safe, very vulnerable.
